Have you ever checked in on FB from a location that's not where you live? Made a comment about going to dinner or spending quality time with that special someone? Posted a quality time photo? Sure, many of us have. Sometimes, with those things previously mentioned comes those who feel the need to talk about how, "You don't have to express your feelings. If it means something, just do you!" The bigger response from those doing the expressing is...."Who are you to tell me what to post? Why the hell do you care what's being put on my page? If you don't like it, don't read it!" The even funnier thing is if they themselves don't post their SDA on FB but post somewhere else like Twitter or Instagram, doesn't that make them a HYPOCRITE? It most certainly does. What people say, do and/or post on their social networks is their business and only their business. If you don't like it, you've got options ~ don't read it or unfriend them because it seems that maybe, just maybe you could be jealous and that is Not A Good Look! IJS. So to the SDA posters, I say, do you; it's your life, your page, your business. To the complainers, if you don't have anything nice to say.....shut the hell up!
Bootcamp ~ check; gym membership ~ check; belly dancing ~ check; kick boxing ~ check! I've done all of those things and some but the one exercise ~ YES EXERCISE ~ that I've been committed to for nearly two years is Pole Dancing. You not only build up your upper body strength, you learn to really carry your weight (I'm a thick chick)! So ladies, before you say you can't, I'm here to tell you that you definitely can. I visit studios in various cities but I currently call SpinArella Pole Dance Fitness in Atlanta my home! It's more than pole, it's dance, it's shake it's all around exercise (come visit sometime). No Judgement, Just Dance!
A funny thing happened in my vitiligo journey! As you can see from the photo below. I once had brown skin. Over the last 19 years, I went from the picture on the left to all of the photos stacked on the right. Last month, I took a trip to the islands and suffered pretty bad sunburn so I took a trip to the dermatologist. After we talked about how she'd only seen a few patients who'd lost 90% of their color, I asked her about some little color marks on my arm. She said sometimes their are pockets of pigment left in the skin. A week later, I woke up and had color, of all places, around my eyes. So could this be a case of having color, to no color to color again? What in the heezy is going on! Well, one thing about me, through it all, I will never let my outward appearance affect my inner spirit! I am who I am and I love it!
