The holiday season has begun with the day of giving thanks! I'm thankful for family, friends and love! Happy holiday's ya'll!
It's amazing what a get-a-way with friends can do for you! When the workloads are heavy, the stress is high and you need a cocktail at the end of the day/week.....you probably need some "you" time!
I know I did! That's why I went away with my friends for some island life fun! I love the Caribbean - the water is beautiful and the sun is hot! You're free to lay around and do nothing or pick up and do something....but you're not at home and that's what makes it great! So, when you're hit with the worries of everyday life, just take some "you" time and enjoy life where everything is alright! No Problem, Mon! Appetizer, entree, dessert or night cap.....can you categorize your relationship the same way? Of course!
The appetizer is the get to know you phase. Maybe you'll be liked, maybe you wont. In new relationships, the appetizer includes flirting, conversations (phone/text) and sometimes hot sex (all the time, any time or anywhere). Somewhere along the way, something happens and feelings fall into play. The appetizer has rolled itself into an entree. Things have intensified - you begin to really enjoy the company you've been keeping. That company turns into multiple overnights, dinner out or cooking at each other's homes, celebrations of accomplishments, birthdays, holidays, taking trips alone or to meet the family. When it's your favorite entree, it's constantly on your mind when you awake and fall asleep. It's hugs, kisses and I love you.....frequently. Sometimes you get so full on the entree, dessert becomes optional. Your meal has been fabulous - for a while now but lately you're feeling a little stuffed and your need to satisfy your taste buds with your after the meal dessert just isn't what it used to be. Now you don't want overnight company all the time, you're not reachable by phone or your sleep - but it's early - and you don't call back. The hugs and I love you's are less frequent but you're not cut loose just yet. There's always time for a night cap -- you know, when the sun goes down, the restaurants are closed and all that's left to get is a wet as*! So, how is your meal these days? |
